October 16, 2017 – Vancouver, B.C. – Barksdale Capital Corp. (TSX-V: BRO) (“Barksdale” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter McRae and Glenn Kumoi as directors of the Company.
Mr. McRae is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Americas Silver Corp. and brings over 15 years of robust corporate and commercial experience to Barksdale. He was an attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, based in New York, in the firm's corporate department representing some of the largest organizations and private equity firms in the world. Mr. McRae is a member of the New York and Ontario Bars and holds a certificate in Mining Law.
Mr. Kumoi, B.A, LL B., is VP General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Gold Standard Ventures Corp. Mr. Kumoi is a lawyer and executive leader who has extensive experience in the areas of financing, project development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and legal compliance. In the twenty years prior to joining Barksdale Capital, he was the VP General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of three other public companies. During that time, he has been a key part of executive teams who have raised over $700m.
The Company further announces that effective October 11, 2017 Mark McCartney resigned as a director of the Company to focus on new business opportunities. Richard Silas commented: “We would like to thank Mark for his service to the Company and wish him the best in his new endeavors.”
